EXPLORATORY CLINICAL STUDIES IN CHILDREN:

OBTAINING PRELIMINARY DATA USING SUB-THERAPEUTIC OR SUB-PHARMAGOLOGIC DOSES

The MRC Centre for Drug Safety Science (CDSS) at the University of Liverpool has organised a scientific workshop (agenda attached) entitled “Exploratory clinical studies in children: obtaining preliminary data using sub-therapeutic or sub-pharmacologic doses”, to be held in Liverpool on Thursday 12th February 2015.

The workshop will focus on innovative approaches to dose-finding in children and will include a keynote overview presentation from Prof Oscar Della Pasqua (University College London / GSK), in addition to shorter presentations on novel technologies and methods, case reports from industry and regulatory perspectives.

The workshop will bring together research scientists and clinicians from academia, industry and government and aims to define key clinical and research questions that can be addressed in a collaborative manner.   Best practices and future clinical and scientific directions will be advocated through sharing of pre-competitive information on different approaches.  The workshop is limited to approx. 50 attendees and is designed to maximise interactions between delegates.  It is envisaged that the meeting proceedings will be published in a high quality scientific journal.

I would be grateful if you could let me know if you are interested in attending the workshop. Please click here to access the online registration
