From the 24th to the 27th of June 2025 the historic city of Nijmegen welcomed participants to the biannual ESDPPP Conference 2025, and it was an outstanding success! Led by the ESDPPP President Prof. Saskia de Wildt, the event brought together 150 participants from more than 17 countries, uniting experts and emerging voices from across the globe.
The scientific program was both rich and dynamic, covering a broad range of cutting-edge topics including innovative dose finding, study design innovations, off-label medication use, pre-clinical drug discovery, and much more. Sessions sparked engaging discussion, fostered collaboration, and reflected the growing impact of our international community.
The social program provided the perfect balance—offering space for informal exchange, new connections, and memorable moments against the charming backdrop of Nijmegen.
A heartfelt thank you to all who contributed to making this year’s conference such a meaningful experience—from speakers and organizers to each and every participant.
We are already looking ahead with great anticipation to the next ESDPPP Conference, which will take place in Berchtesgaden, Germany in 2027, under the leadership of Conference President Prof. Antje Neubert. We look forward to welcoming you there!
Based in Ghent, Belgium, ESDPPP promotes research in developmental perinatal and paediatric pharmacology and offers a forum for dialogue between pharmacologists, clinicians, and scientists interested in the effect of medicines on the developing fetus, infant, and child.
The ESDPPP celebrated its 38th anniversary in 2026. This milestone provides an important opportunity to celebrate ESDPPP’s achievements to date and to describe our future aspirations and ambitions on behalf of millions of paediatric patients worldwide.
We aim to improve medicines for children and advance research and global access to paediatric medicines. We also advocate politically for the continued development of safe, evidence-based medications for children. In this respect, ESDPPP works closely with European Medicines Agency (EMA), International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (IUPHAR) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Meeting our colleagues is very important for our society. We enjoyed a wonderful congress in Nijmegen, NL, this year and are already looking forward to our next congress, which will be held in Germany in 2027. We highly welcome your idea and suggestion for this event.
